After being to lot a quizzes in this semester,i would like to share some of the questions that find its place in every CSE or IT department quiz.It's a tiresome journey for me and my friend sarathy who takes a lot of pain in calling the symposium coordinator asking about the details of quiz whether it's a purely a general quiz or technical quiz and all.Now come to the sharing of knowledge part.Some of the questions seems to be an easier one for most of the quizzers and i ensure you it wil be of good use for those who seems to have attained the interest in the recent times.
1.ADALOVELACE-She is the writer of the world's first computer program which was for Charles Babbage(Father of Computer) analytical engine.
2.Bill Gates and Paul Allen-Wrote the BASIC version for 8080 microprocessor
3.7/7/07 -Microsoft announced the release of their next OS named Windows7
4.In image round they used to show the pictures of Larry Elison(founder of oracle),Steve Jobs(CEO of Apple),Tim Berners Lee(founder of World wide web),Ray Tomlinson(Founder of E-mail).The pictures may not be a recent one and in some cases black&white photo of them will also be shown.
5.Vinton Cerf-Father of Internet and known for TCP(supposed to be an FAQ either in prelims or finals)
6.See company CEO's photos in Google images.Most common are Samuel J.Palmisano(IBM),Steve Ballmer(MS),John T Chamber(CISCO) and if the quiz is of some nice standard throghout they might even show the picture of Patricia Russo(Lucent Technologies)
7.AOL & TimeWarner-Largest merger of two companies
8.Trivia related to Larry Page and Sergey Brin will be asked(in prelims)
