Kuselan in Japan
The much hyped movie “Kuselan” is going to hit the screens on August 1st.The stills of the movie featuring Superstar Rajnikanth has already been creating waves in Kollywood. The most important thing is that the movie is going to be screened in Tokyo Film Festival on July31st as superstar have a great fan following in Japan also. After the success of movie “Muthu” interest in his movies have increased to a great level in Japan. The dubbed version “Muthu” ran for 288 days in Japan.Since Superstar is playing himself, the pre-release response is sure to create excitement among the fans.A lot of changes have been made in Tamil to suit the audience and we have to wait and see whether it will provide the same touch as the original one.

The Malayalam rock band “Avial”(a south Indian recipe meaning mixture) has created a revolution in Indian Rock. There are many rock bands in India in the recent past and there is a stiff competition existing between them to lure the music lovers not alone in India but also in other parts of the world. Malayalam is the hardest language to transform to rockish and the songs have come out so well.Language is not a barrier for good music, but if you know the mallu tradition you enjoy the whole experience at a much higher level. There are totally 8 songs in the album and the notable tracks are “Nada Nada” and “Njan Aara” which makes us feel that the Malayaleese are on on top when it comes to music in India. In my opinion I don’t dare to compare any other Indian rock band at their level.Click here to download the torrent file

Back to Blogging
I was out of blogging arena for more than a month and I feel extremely glad to return back to blogging.IPL was a roaring success especially with many close games which kept the cricket lovers glued to their seats in the prime time.Cricket was played as much in the mind as in the arena as one of the greatest cricketer’s of all time Shane Warne’s team Rajasthan Royals emerged victorious. The spirit of the team was splendid throughout and they blended well as a unit helping each others out.I don’t regret missing the final of IPL because of my Mantralayam trip which I consider as a opportunity of my lifetime.Even though the trip was just five days it was filled with happiness and peace as we covered a lot of places apart from the plan. After IPL,its now time for Euro 08 to provide us some more excitement and especially with Group C(Italy,France,Netherland,Romania) we can expect close contests on the cards.

Nostalgia decimated
For the first and last time in my life I attended a famous restaurant’s farewell without my knowledge. The restaurant is none other than the famous Woodland’s Drive-in located at the Cathedral Road. After a big dilemma myself, along with my friends Balaji aka Mech Balaji and Vinodh decided to hang out there as the place is famous for its ambience.Even though we started early we reached the place only by 8:00 due to some brilliance by Balaji(don’t want to discuss it here). To our surprise we found a banner showing that “This place belongs to Tamilnadu government”.Policemen were out in large number having some discussions with the manager. We couldn’t resist our hunger and ordered chola pori and masala dosa. When we asked the waiter who served us we came to know that the restaurant has been there for more than 60 years and due to the kannada problem over hogenakkal water issue the restaurant will not be functioning from tomorrow. The restaurant is popular for it's its nice ambience of flora and fauna. Drive-in was one of my favoured hang outs with my parents during my school days and I really felt disappointed that its going to be no more.

2008 Season CHANGES in Formula One
F-1 season is all set to take off in Melbourne tomorrow(March 16).A lot of changes have been made by FIA(Federation Internationale de Automobile). Some of the changes has led to many debates in the Formula One Circuit.Major rule changes include a ban on traction control(TC) and the use of a standard Electronic Control Unit(ECU) on all cars.Until now,the traction control(TC) which prevents wheelspin contributed around 80% to the success of a start for the driver and leaving just 20% to his ability. It’s now going to be the other way around. The rest of the changes are given below
1.Improved driver protection:Taller cockpit are made mandatory now.
2.Engines:The engines should last for two consecutive races.
3.Gearboxes:A penalty of five grid places if the gearbox is replaced within four consecutive races.
4.Tyres:Each driver is supplied 14 sets of tyres over each race weekend supplied by the official supplier Bridgestone.the 14 set is split into seven dry-weather,four wet and three sets for extreme weather.

Forgettable Day
March 4th has been a disappointing day for Ponting’s men and his fans all over the world.Last time they suffered defeats at the hands of Barmy Army in the tri series but they performed exceedingly well at the World Cup and won the World Cup without losing a single match for the second time.Aussies kicked off to a great start winning the 1st test at MCG convincingly and won the series 2-1.The tri series started in the third week of January and they entered the finals like warriors by winning five matches with a bonus point.Ponting’s men have the tendency to win the important with ease on many occasions but at this time they failed to create history.Sachin found his touch at the right time and a valiant century at SCG and his knock of 91 proved to be a match winning for the second consecutive time in the series.Being the last tri series, aussies were no where near the best in the finals. As aussies cancelling the Pak tour, this CB series is the last ODI series I have witnessed in my college life being a fan for the past eleven years.God was pretty harsh on Gilchrist,as he bids adieu to international cricket without a win. Anyway “Winning and losing is a part of the game” and I have to stick on to these lines when ever aussies lose.
